Zancana community center together with all Zanzibaries and Muslim Friends has gathered at Lawrence Heights Community Center (Lawrence east). This event took place on 27^th October, 2012.

It was a rainy day however attendance was good, about 300 people attend the function it was a good Saturday.

The parents get time to listen to some scholars and chichat while the Ladies in another hall have wonderful relaxing time with the kids.

Eid al-Adha , also called Feast of the Sacrifice, the Major Festival, the Greater Eid  is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to honor the willingness of the prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his young first-born son  Ishmael as an act of submission to Allah’s command and his son’s acceptance to being sacrificed, before God intervened to provide Abraham with a Lamb to sacrifice  instead.  In the lunar Islamic calendar, Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah (last month in Islamic lunar year) and lasts for four days
